Milk can protect you!

I’ve always been fascinated by fire-fighters even as a kid so I was really happy when I heard that Tetra Pak (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd had honoured these brave men and women recently.

And it was done in an unusual way. For the hundreds of men and women at the Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM), who put their lives on the line daily, it was a certainly a pleasant treat when Tetra Pak, their infamous mascot, Mr Moo and their Milk-On-Wheels team paid them a visit recently.

The presence of Mr Moo and the Tetra Pak’s Milk-On-Wheels team at the JBPM headquarters in Putrajaya was in conjunction with the recent World Milk Day celebration, whereby the team visited key areas around the Klang Valley in the last two weeks to encourage the public to consume milk anytime, anywhere for stronger bones and general wellbeing.

Aside from encouraging the public to consume milk to protect their health, Tetra Pak’s World Milk Day message is also to emphasize the importance of protecting what’s good and important in our lives. This principle of protection is one that is shared, practiced and upheld unwaveringly by both Tetra Pak and the JBPM in their service to the community.

The visit was not just about two ‘protectors’ in their rights coming together to celebrate World Milk day, but Tetra Pak also wanted to honour and recognise the men and women amongst our community who have our safety at heart and are ever ready to serve and protect us at all times.

Tuan Hj. Zanudin bin Hj. Abd Aziz, Director of Management of the JBPM warmly welcomed Tetra Pak’s visit and also expressed his gratitude to Tetra Pak for taking time to remember the men and women in the fire-fighting force.

Aside from sharing the goodness of milk with the staff of JBPM, Tetra Pak also awarded the “Tetra Pak “PROTECTS WHAT’S GOOD™," - Excellent Service Award” and a one-year supply of UHT milk to Kesavan a/l Chinnappan, Mohd Razif b. Abu Bakar and Ahmad Dalilan b. Surat each for their outstanding performance and commitment throughout their more than 25 years of service to the community.

Kudos to all our fire & rescue personnel and also to Tetra Pak!
